SKIN PROBLEM AND REMEDIES
Sun Burn

Skin can burn as a result of ultraviolet B rays present in the sunlight. The upper layer of the skin tends to thicken due to harsh sunlight. The skin also can lose some of its elasticity resulting in wrinkles and premature ageing.

Acne

Acne is an inflammatory skin disorder that occurs mostly among teen Agers.  Acne causes pimples, blackheads, or white heads.  Severe acne  besides being present on the face can be seen on the chest, back of Arms and legs.

Remedy :        

To keep acne under control, try wearing pure cotton clothes in humid and warm weather.  Avoid tight, restricting clothes or under clothes which stay sweaty for a long period of time.  Steaming helps to soften the blackheads and then they can be easily removed with cotton. Do not touch your face frequently.  Avoid foods high in oils, sugar, and salt.

Pimples                      

Pimple is a red, raised skin blemish that usually contains pus.  Bacteria Present on our skin infects the area.  It gives the reddish colour. Pimples are caused by the acne bacillus, a germ that thrives in the Accumulated oil, causing redness and pus.

Remedy :         
Home made remedy for pimples.
Make a paste of sandal wood with rose water, Apply on the affected Area for 20 minutes, wash off with lukewarm water.
                                               
Freckles          

Freckles normally occur in people with a fair complexion after being exposed to repeated sunlight.  They are flat circular spots       and are about the size of a nail’s head.  They are mostly light brown, Black, yellow or red in colour.

Remedy :         

Treatment of freckles is advised by your doctor.


HOW TO PROTECT YOUR SKIN



Adaily skin routine includes cleansing, toning, and moisturizing.

Cleansing

Cleansing helps in removing dirt, sweat and makeup from the deeper areas of the skin.
Home made cleanser:
For all skin types
½ cup plain yogurt
1 tablespoon sunflower oil
2 teaspoon lemon juice
Mix all the ingredients in a container.  Refrigerate it.  Apply one teaspoon in the morning and evening for helping you cleanse your face.

Toning

Cleansing must be followed by toning.  Toning helps in removing any grease left after makeup or from cleansing creams and lotions. 

Moisturising

The only time your body retains some moisturizer is immediately after a bath. Pat  your skin dry with a towel and within a couple of minutes apply oil or a moisturizer to your body.

Normal Skin  

It is the perfect skin.  It is soft and smooth and does not flake.
Dry skin         

It can feel tight, become flaky and is predisposed to facial lines.

Oilier Greasy skin

It has a shiny look and can have enlarged pores which could lead to Blackheads
and blemishes.

Sensitive skin

It is usually fine and translucent.  It can suffer from redness and Irritation when exposed to pollen and other allergies.  It can also be Allergic to talcum powder, perfumes and other chemicals.

Combination skin     

The forehead nose and chin can be oilier.  The rest of the Skin of the face, around the eyes, the cheeks and the neck can be dry.
